Terms of Service

The rules for using GOIE, including vendor accounts, event applications, booth bookings and payments.

Last updated 7 October 2026

1. About these terms

GOIE is run by Foodie ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using GOIE, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.

Each event also has its own terms and conditions, which you must accept before paying for a booth. If those event terms and these terms differ, the event terms apply to that event.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information.
  • Each person has one login. You must verify your email address; an account created with Google is verified by Google.
  • Keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Vendor businesses

  • A signed-in person may create one vendor business and becomes its owner. The owner may invite team members and is responsible for what they do on the business's behalf.
  • Each SSM registration may only be linked to one vendor business. If your SSM number is already in use, contact us and Foodie will look into it.
  • Business details and documents you submit must be true, current and yours to share. Foodie reviews every vendor business and may approve it, reject it with a reason, or ask for changes.
  • Only an approved, active vendor business can apply to events, book booths or make payments.
  • Foodie may suspend a vendor business that breaks these terms or an event's terms. Suspension removes vendor access but keeps past records.

4. Event applications

  • Applying to an event does not guarantee a place. Foodie may approve, waitlist or reject an application at its discretion.
  • Once submitted, an application cannot be freely edited. Foodie may ask for more information, and you may answer that request even after the deadline if you applied on time.
  • Showing interest in an event is not an application or a booking.

5. Booth bookings and payments

  • After your application is approved, you may book a permitted booth type. Foodie assigns the exact booth location.
  • You must accept the event's current terms and conditions before paying. If Foodie publishes a newer version, you must accept it again.
  • The amount due is 100% of the booth fee, plus applicable tax, the full security deposit and any add-ons, as shown on your invoice.
  • Payment is made by bank transfer to the account shown in the platform. You upload proof of payment, and your booking is confirmed only after Foodie's finance team verifies it.
  • Prices, tax rates and deposit amounts are those shown when you book.

6. Security deposits, cancellations and refunds

  • A security deposit is charged per booth for each booking. After the event, Foodie reviews it and refunds it in full or in part. Any deduction and its reason follow the event's terms.
  • You may ask to cancel a confirmed booking through the platform. Foodie decides the cancellation and any booth fee refund under the event's terms. A refund is never more than the amount you paid.
  • Refunds are made by bank transfer.

7. At the event

  • Follow the event briefing, setup times, venue rules and any instructions from Foodie's team.
  • Hold and comply with all licences, permits and certificates your food business needs, including food safety and halal requirements you declare.
  • Submit accurate daily sales reports when asked. Reports are locked once Foodie marks the event completed.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the business name, logo, menus, photos and other content you upload.

You allow Foodie to use the content you choose to make public to list, promote and run events you take part in, on GOIE and in Foodie's event promotion. You confirm you have the right to grant this.

9. Reviews, ratings and announcements

Foodie may review your public social media content and rate your performance at events. These are Foodie's own assessments and are kept separately.

Announcements from Foodie are one-way messages. To contact us, use Help & Support.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • give false information, impersonate anyone or upload forged documents;
  • access another account or data you are not allowed to see;
  • interfere with, overload or try to break the security of the platform;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful or that infringes someone else's rights.

11. Availability and liability

We work to keep GOIE available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, Foodie is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Ending your use

You may stop using GOIE at any time. Foodie may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. We keep financial and audit records as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about important changes. If you keep using the platform after a change, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction.
